Shower Organization
This week’s LoveList is more practical, but isn’t that just as important? It takes all kinds of things to make your house perfect for you. So, today, I love these Gecko-Loc suction cup shower caddies. These were up at our apartment and worked great for organizing our stuff, and then as we moved, they were taken down and put in a box and forgotten about. When we transitioned from renting our apartment to buying our first house, we traded less luxury amenities in a lot of cases for the ability to own where we live. We are working hard to bring those “amenities” back to our house, but we definitely downgraded when it came to the current shower/bath combos.
Through our renovations, we have been using our guest bathroom while our master bath gets redone and the bathtub floor has been covered with various bath products (see picture above). As I was unpacking, I found our shower caddies from the apartment and felt good that I could solve this small problem to make our lives feel a little more organized. We bought two, so I just stack them on the wall, but you could really place them anyway you like. These suction cups are strong and once you get them up, they really do stay. However, one thing to consider – at our apartment, we had beveled tile in our shower (it wasn’t flat, each piece was raised in the center). This made it harder to get the suction cups to engage properly because they didn’t have a flat surface to work with.
It’s the small things! Now that the floor of the tub is empty, it feels more spacious, and the sense of order in there makes the shower experience much more relaxing.
